Why some names have a page and some do not

The dataset holds 42,565 name entries across 30 years, and 14,200 names in 2025 alone. Every one of them can be looked up here. Names given to 250 or more babies in 2025 (399 names so far) also have their own page, which you can browse A to Z. Everything else is shown as a lookup result and is not offered to search engines as a page. Names given to fewer than 3 babies in a year are not published by the ONS, so they cannot be shown.
